This call is where the real application happens: we confirm your course choice actually matches your goal, answer every question you have about schedule, fees and content, and tell you the current seat situation in your preferred batch. If a different course would serve you better, we will say so plainly — placing you in the wrong course helps nobody.
If you want to see the institute before deciding — and we recommend it — we will schedule a campus visit or a longer counselling session. You can sit in on a class, meet instructors, see the equipment you will train on, and watch work made by students who started exactly where you are. Families are welcome to join; for many students this visit is what turns interest into certainty.
Your seat is confirmed when admission formalities and the fee — or the first instalment, where instalment plans are available for your batch — are complete. Because batches are small and seats confirm strictly in order of completed admissions, the students who move promptly are the ones who get the batch they wanted. Once confirmed, you receive your batch schedule, timings and a short preparation note for day one.
Anyone genuinely willing to put in the hours. Our beginner courses assume no prior knowledge — current students include school leavers, college students studying alongside class, working professionals switching careers, and self-taught videographers formalising their skills. Basic computer comfort helps for editing-track courses; for camera-track courses, institute equipment covers all classwork, so owning gear is useful but never required to start.

After a batch begins, changes depend on seat availability, so it is always better to decide with us beforehand.

Institute equipment covers classwork; if you own a laptop or camera, tell us and we will advise how to use it alongside the course. The only non-negotiable preparation is the decision to attend consistently and practise between classes.
The first sessions of any OFI course are built to get your hands on the work immediately: your workstation or camera assigned, the software or gear demystified, and a first real exercise completed before the first week ends. Beginners often expect weeks of theory before touching anything — here it is the opposite, because confidence in this field only comes from doing.
By the end of the first month you will have finished small but genuine pieces of work, received your first detailed critiques, and settled into the rhythm that carries the rest of the course: demonstration, practice, review, revise. You will also know your batch — the people who will become your first crew — and your instructor will know your work personally, which is when the real acceleration begins.
